"Thanks," she smiled, "I was starving. So, is this how you spend your days? Just swiming and hanging out. Wish I could do that."

"Well not always sometimes a scientists tries to capture me so i kill him or her and bury them at the bottom of the channel." he said casually. " but mostly yeah this is what i do. i haven't been on any land other than this in about two months." he said to her streching

"That seems kind of lonely. I mean, sure, you do run into more Erasers and white coats on the main land, but there you can at least interact with people. I don't know if I could just stay on this island."

Remi looked away for a minute, it was a touchy subject as why he never went to the main isle
" i'm used to being lonely." he simply stated as he got very quiet

She stared at the sand. She felt like there was another story behind it, btu she didn't want to press the issue, so she simply said, "Oh."

"How long were you there?" he asked her as he stood up and walked to the water and set his feet in the cool water

"Well... I can't be entirely sure but I think it was about 14, and I've been on the run for about three."

"Cool. At least you've been away from them for alittle while. he said as he stared into the clear water looking at fish. it was awkward he'd always wondered about meeting another experiment like him - fish wise - but now that he had it was really awkward especially since said experiment was a very preety girl in his mind.

"So," she asked with a smile, "can you fly?"

"Fly. not exactly more like i glide when i shoot out of the water. i fly through the water though. my top speed is 95 mph. could you teach me?" he asked her.

"Yeah, sure," Mela smiled. "It's a good weapon to have when you're surrounded by whitecoats and erasers. First we've got to get up higher. Like that hill up there." She climbed up a small hill. "It's easier to fly when you're higher up... but obviously there's more of a potential to seriously injure yourself. So, you know how when you push yourself out of the water, you can kind of push yourself a little bit higher if you want?"

"Sure." he said as he tried and proptly screwed up and fell ungracefully onto the sand at the bottom of the hill. grumbling he picked himself up and muttered obscenities as he trudged back up the hill.

Mela chuckled a little. "It takes a little while to learn. Of course, it helps if you have whitecoats sicking erasers on you every time you fail, but that's cruel and unusual. You'll get it eventually. Just pretend you're in the water. It's really no different."
